Swedish Massage Therapy is the most common and popular therapeutic massage and is performed by certified and registered massage therapists (RMT). Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday occupational stresses, muscular over-use, and many chronic pain conditions. The massage therapist (RMT) will do a quick assessment, to determine the right type of massage therapy that is beneficial for you and as well as the amount of pressure needed to help ease your tension, sore muscle, or help you recover from an injury. Receiving massage on regular basis helps to reduce stress, decrease pain, muscle tension, increase relaxation, and improve immune function.

In my 20 years of practice as an RMT I have devoted many hours to professional development reflected in the quality of care. I specialize in perinatal massage, infant massage, Scar release and lymphatic drainage. I utilize a holistic approach to treatment through use of manual lymphatic drainage massage, manual massage techniques and MPS (microcurrent point stimulation) and acupuncture for pain relief. MPS is an innovative treatment approach that has been researched extensively and enables me to approach pain, and various system dysfunctions such as scar release, lymphatic restoration, vagus nerve treatments essential to regulation of the nervous system, pain management, and long term side effects of Covid-19 in a gentle and proven way. MLD, manual lymphatic drainage, massage works well with MPS and on it’s own in treating specific regions of edema caused by surgery, pregnancy, accidents or illness as well as general treatments to detoxify the body. MLD is successful in providing relief for people with edema related to various conditions, pre and post surgery, concussion and many more. Scars form deeper adhesions in the body resulting in pain locally and throughout the body. I provide a gentle and effective release to treat pain and improve quality of life. I am looking forward to providing holistic, evidence based care.
